The Safer Boat has been granted two USA Patents

The US Patent Office has awarded both a Design Patent and a Utility Patent for this boat as of April 28, 2020. The Utility Patent #10,633,064 covers 20 unique features of the Safer Boat.

There is no other boat like the Safer Boat. It fills a unique place in the market between a big, expensive Powerboat, and all the 2 and 4 place row boats, motor boats, and canoes. It is safer and more stable than any of them. It carries more people. It is more comfortable with side seating, and more fun because you can stand up, move around, and hang out over the edge.

Out of the water, it is easier and safer to transport, and much easier to store.

"Boat in a box"

The Safer Boat's pontoons disconect and nest inside of each other. The bow slides off its hinges and fits inside the rear passenger compartment. Then there is still room inside for the battery, the anchor, a paddle, life jackets. They all fit - which is impossible with an inflatable boat. Then the front passenger compartment pivots on its hinges to enclose everything into a singe compact cube for transporting and for storing.

The most compact boat in its class.

We prefer to carry our Safer Boat on a hitch-receiver platform. That way it takes up zero room in the car or truck. It is quick to load and unload with two people. And for one adult, we have added a winch to the receiver platform, so the boat can be loaded and unloaded by a single person. With the boat out on the back, it is easy to position it right next to the water we want to launch in. And of course, we need no launch ramp. The flat bottom of the boat will launch in just a few inches of water almost anywhere. With the built-in thruster model, we even get propusion in about 6 inches of water, and we never bang up a prop.

Quick to assemble.

The pontoon bars just unsnap from the support bars. A few bolts, which go into pre-set receiver nuts hold everything else in place. This boat can be expanded (or compacted), in a fraction of the time it takes to put in the floor, inflate a rubber boat, and add the seating. And then there is room inside the pontoons for gear. (You can't put anything except for air in the sides of an inflatable boat.) The boat is made of UV resistant, automotive-strength ABS plastic. The main compartments have both an outer shell and an inner shell. The support bars are strong aluminum. This boat is built tough to last for years.

Side Seating.

One of the best unique features of the Safer Boat is the side seating design. Side seating lets everyone see and talk to each other. It is also the reason this boat holds more people; there is much more room around the outside of the boat than can be provided by planks across the middle. And, solid foam is underneath the side seating, which makes the boat unsinkable.
